The Hidden Life of Animals - Chapter Two
- Ongoing Project -
Habitat loss and degradation represent one of the most serious causes of biodiversity decline, compounded by the loss of connectivity and threats to numerous sites of high naturalistic value. The Hidden Life of Animals - Chapter Two recounts the activities of one of the places where wildlife is saved, rehabilitated, and released back into the wild.
LIPU (Italian League for Bird Protection) is directly involved in species protection, through objectives and actions focused on science, conservation, monitoring, combating hunting and poaching, caring for wildlife in distress, and collecting data within rescue centers. In fact, 63% of bird species nesting in Italy are in an unsatisfactory or poor conservation status. This high figure makes strong land protection actions increasingly urgent.
Hidden from urban spaces, these animals—particularly birds, which fall victim to growing urban development—find salvation thanks to the daily care of volunteers.
The Hidden Life of Animals - Chapter Two focuses on specific moments experienced inside this facility.
